YES WE MANAGED TO WIN ASSUMPTION ENGLISH
They were a freaking good school, top 4 last year,
We got kicked out by them last year after losing to them by 6 points.
Anyway today's match was rather important, playing for the spot in top 4
Played all 4 quarters, but got alot of timeouts called so got enough time to rest
gain back stamina to last for 4 quarters.
First quarter had good passing but lousy defence, trailed by 6points,
2nd quarter, managed to "help side" plus made good passing again, tied at 37 all
3rd quarter, probably tired or something, couldn't stop their #11, lost by 4
4th quarter, never run back for def fast enough, let them fast break too much.
left with 2 more minutes, we were losing by 8 points
Then their PG scored a 3pt from 2 steps behind the arc, 打板 then go in.
Then we were losing by 11 points, after that felt damn demoralised and down
Thoughts about getting kicked out of nationals suddenly dawned upon me
About everything we've promised others
Then RongHao managed to sink a 3point, and then we were losing by 8 points again.
Then we all got damn fired up, We took the defensive/offensive rebounds
ALL OF THEM, rong hao executed a few nice plays,
laisheng with his offensive rebounds, and yuanming with defensive rebounds
we controled the flow, we managed to press them to make mistakes,
I managed to press their PG until i tap his ball away with 8secs left on shortclock
They blew it on that shot, and we had time for one last proper play
Still down by 2points, it was a do or die.
Yuanming cut in and drew the defenders to him, then he saw me at the corner of the eye
then he passed and i was at the 3point line, and i managed to score that shot.
could hear our bench jump in joy and for some reason, the other teams were cheering for us
i was mixed with emotions, i felt like crying and laughing.
Then with about 10+ seconds we pressed them and managed to steal their ball and gain possession, then their player fouled me cause they wanted possession
( Actually if you calculate the chances, it was the right thing to do )
K, managed to sink both the free throws, and with 8 seconds to go
they failed to convert the 3pointer and we won the game
Really awesome game, best game in ages.
Great plays by rong hao at a certain point of time
Offensive rebounds by Laisheng and putting them back in
Leibing drive ins which drawed many fouls
And yuanming's defensive rebounds
All of them made it possible for the comeback, the deficit of 11 points.
Those who didn't play too well today, you did contribute in a way or another still.
Shooting a 3point at the point of time is really worth every damn training,
We shoot so many 3 points, and in the match we only got that few chances.
It was a game winning shot, but impossible if everyone hadn't play like today
not giving up, and continued chasing that enabled us to stick so closely to them.
The feeling of your teammates and juniors hugging you slapping your hand and embracing you telling what a fantastic shot that was is really indescribable, IT REALLY FELT DAMN GOOD
